A new experience for our fans.
They are taking the songs, stripping them down and making them their own.
“These are songs we love as a band,” says Ignite the Fire’s singer Jack Gurecki. “ITF Sessions is something we’ve been wanting to do for a while, and we feel now is the best time to give our fans a new experience.”
Ignite The Fire Sessions, or ITF Sessions for short, comprises of songs performed acoustically that include hits from Linkin Park, Lewis Capaldi, Yungblud and Fleetwood Mac, among others.
“The more eclectic the songs the better,” says Michael Nelson, guitarist. “It provides an enjoyable challenge for us to step up and make someone else’s music our own. Putting our own spin on it, as it were.”
The idea for ITF Sessions came about, according to the band, when they noticed the enthusiastic response they received playing acoustic versions of their own songs as well as songs from artists such as Shinedown and Asking Alexandria.
“It’s something that resonates with people; it’s different and familiar. It’s still Ignite The Fire,” says Holly Smith, bassist.
The band’s first ITF Sessions release is a rendition of Linkin Park’s One More Light, a song that speaks to what many may still be feeling after a tumultuous 2020.
“This song felt like the perfect one to strip down and really let the emotion out,” says Mark Quinn, guitarist.
Adds Gurecki, “It’s a song of hope.”
